Sox
Sox is recovering nicely from her bout with parvo. You can imagine our excitement when she first chose to visit the water bowl. Poor little puppy had gotten quite thin with the illness.
She is now eating as well as drinking, and she has gotten inquisitive and playful again.
Where is my dinner, she wants to know.

Wonderful news for Sox. She is so beautiful.
The vet told us that survival rate with parvo is about 50%, and it's hard to tell who lives. The first week is critical but it gets easier. We were nursing the pup with baby food for another week, but after that, there is no residual damage. Maybe the ones who live are even stronger than average, I hope.
